Boots

I went shopping over the weekend for new boots to no avail it was the most difficult task yet. Grant it living in Miami means there are only about 10 days of real winter or close to winter days. But just like every other women I know we wait for those days to be able to wear our boots.

So I had a mission, find the perfect boots. I decided that while I was doing my Christmas shopping at Aventura mall I would take the opportunity to check out the boots. I mean this mall is pretty big and with all the great stores I was sure I would find my boots.

My search started at JCPenny, where I found a pair that where perfect black knee high with a little design but of course they didn't have my size. I guess the price tag and usual size 7.5 would be the reason. Later we made a few other stops and continued our x-mas shopping.

While making my way through the mall there it was Nine West my favorite shoe store and OMG all boots 50% off. I fight my way to the boot section and as I stand there I can't decide what to try on, they're all beautiful. There was black knee high, booties in all colors, a pair of purple suede boots which "C" was totally against, grey ankle boots with a 4 inch heel, I was overwhelmed. As I stood there, I was thinking I will take them all. But after trying on about 20 pairs, I left with nothing. It wasn't them, it was me they just didn't fit the way I had hoped.

I left disappointed and made my way to the Steve Madden store which was so packed you would think they where giving away shoes. As I approached the store I realized why the line at the store started outside. They had a wheel of savings you could spin the wheel and get a certain percentage off your entire sale. So I stood in line with C and we both spinned the wheel I got 30% and C got 20% off. I should have known by how many people where there that my anxiety would kick in and so I browsed around and left with nothing again.

Break for Lunch at Johnny Rockets...... and then a few more stops Coach, Charles David, Juicy Couture, Hot Topic, Zales, Puma, Foot Locker, etc.

And so after giving up and getting ready to head home we made our final stop at Macy's. This was the first store we stopped at but Steve Madden the designer was here signing shoes, and so you can only imagine why I left. The aftermath of Steve Madden had been cleared and the shoe department was back to normal and as C shopped for a perfume for mom I was on the hunt. Macy's was a partial success not only was there a variety of boots to choose from there were also great sales... 50% off, how could you go wrong? After a 15 minute wait, here they come... the boots. I start to try them on NO, NO, NO, finally, I try on the Alfani black knee highs. Success these are the boots I wanted comfortable, sexy, sleek a little to tight at the calves but I can deal or not.

In the end I couldn't deal and all my troubles to find the perfect boots where in vain. And so in conclusion I sold the boots to my boss as a Christmas gift for his daughter. Now the sexy, sleek black knee high boots I loved were being worn and not by me.
