Home Decor on a Budget

I hope your day is going good!

I am on a roll this week, I am trying to get used to writing a post atleast 4 times a week so bare with me. As I mentioned yesterday I have been on a home decor kick lately. I have always loved to decorate my house because I believe your home is a partial representation of your personality. And since I love fashion I think it's time my home represents my style. Don't get me wrong my apartment is not a disaster and its nicely decorated but its a bit outdated so its time for a decorlift. I want my house to have a more modern chic feel. But I don't want my house to look like a museum where you can't sit on the couches for fear of getting them dirty or breaking something. I mean I do have grown boys at home who hang out in the living room and are always around, don't really think they would approve of a girly unbreakable house LOL. Anyways my other issue is also the financial aspect I don't really have much money to give my house a total redo.

We have been living in our new place for about 4 months now and while the house is slightly decorated the walls remain bear. My dining room is in need of an overhaul and so does my living room. My bedroom is nice and new but again bear walls and not much else. So I have been surfing the net for some DIY inspiration which can help me in my decorlift. I am pretty crafty so I am guessing that is something that can work to my advantage. Surfing the net this week I have found some cool DiY wall frames that I just love.

Framed Scrapbook Paper: I have been looking into home decor blogs and I have seen may rooms with this concept.

So what do you guys think do you have any home decor ideas on a budget?

Everything Fall New Series (update)

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend...

Ok so I haven't had a chance to really update the blog because I have been really busy. On thursday my youngest son turns 11 my how time flies. So I have been quite busy deciding what to do for his birthday. I am also in the mist of planning a babyshower for my cousin which is in November and will be a circus theme. Not only that my health hasn't been up to par and I have been feeling really tired lately. I finally went to the doctor last Friday and they have scheduled me for tons of fun test. So I will be a little busy I hope everything goes well and that my fears don't become a reality. I will keep you guys update.

For now I want to talk to you guys about a fun new series that will be starting on my blog October 1st. Browsing the internet and checking out some of my favorite bloggers I came across a blog The inspired Room. I am in a bit of re-decorating phase so I am looking for inspiration all over LOL. Anyways on this blog I was reading about a series called 31 days of change. It's basically a group of bloggers who choose a theme and blog for 31 days on this theme. I decided to check out the series and it looked like alot of fun. This year they are doing a linky party and so anyone can do the 31 days of change series. So this is where I come in I have decided to take the challenge and do a series of my own. Since I really can't decide on one theme I have decided to do a theme based on Everything Fall.

Everything Fall is the name of my series and well it'll be about everything as it relates to fall. This series is going to cover pretty much everything from fashion to crafts, home decor and recipes. Its going to be 31 days of nothing but inspiration. There is a twist in this series, since I live in Miami, Florida there isn't much fall around here. I mean it doesn't get cold till around January and it last only a couple of hours LOL. So this is going to be a bit of a challenge.

I am going to break the series down into categories:

Fashion Week - All about fall fashion (nails, hair, boots, scarves, outfits)

Home Decor (Weaths, bedazzled pumpkins, decorated foyers or entrys, decorations for fall and anything that has to do with home decor etc.)

Desserts & Recipes - What are your go to receipes, what is your favorite dish for the fall, Desserts what is your favortie, etc.)

Crafts - This is going to be about everything craft (treat boxes, halloween crafts, fall crafts even some holiday crafts)

Fall (Miami Style) This categories is for my fellow Miami Bloggers ( here we will showcase how we in Miami prepare for the fall and/or enjoy the fall without the season change. This will be a combo of themes.
